Systems Biology Group at IMBG, Kyiv is looking for a Master student 🧠, who would work on creating robust and automated pangenome-driven pipeline for prokaryotic genomes annotation 🧬. The pipeline aims to be fast and scalable, thus being able to process thousands of assembled genomes for a reasonable amount of time. The pangenome-centric annotation would require research on efficient data structures and graph architecture (e.g. gene-centric vs de Bruijn graph of k-mers). The project is supposed to be conducted as part of Master thesis 🔬 (Bachelor is still possible, but you should allocate enough time and meet the requirements).

Requirements:
🐍 Solid knowledge of Python
👨‍💻 Linux, Git, upper-intermediate English, troubleshooting/debugging skills.

Optional:
✅ NextFlow, Bakta, understanding of genomic data formats.
